Following a hiatus of two years, this is only our fourth Grüner Veltliner. The wine is a pale gold with a green hue revealing cut peach and white pepper on the nose. There’s a lot going on once it hits the palate including citrus, grapefruit, nectarine and apricot. An elegant textural wine with a clean finish that makes a triumphant return. The 2020 Springton Riesling was carefully blended from 3 different blocks within the Avon Brae vineyard. (56% Block 11, 26% Block 10, 19% Block 8)

It is bright pale straw and shows tropical fruits and rose petal on the nose. The palate is broad and full with lime over a long line of lemon. An enticing Eden Valley Riesling drinking well now but built to last.

2019 Eden Hall Chardonnay tasting:

Our winemaker Phil Lehmann has made our first Chardonnay from a carefully fostered single block of Eden Valley fruit of impeccable pedigree.

Pale golden yellow with a green hue, showing cut white peach over subtle spice of cloves and vanilla on the nose. An assertive middle palate of nectarine and grapefruit with a layered creamy elegance and a fresh citrus finish that lingers.

A Chardonnay of poise, immediately enticing, but with a view to the future.
