We only vinify Grüner Veltliner when the vintage demands it, and 2023 was a belter that left us in no doubt. The wine is pale yellow with a green hue showing baked pear and subtle white pepper on the nose. The palate reveals stone fruit of just ripe nectarine and white peach. A wine of subtle texture with a clean, crisp, mineral finish. Chill and drink now, but will age gracefully.
The 2023 Eden Hall Grüner Veltliner is testimony to a block that is really hitting its straps. Bright golden straw showing tropical notes of pineapple and lychees on the nose with white pepper lingering in the background. The palate is textural and full with nectarine and grapefruit providing length. Beautifully balanced with an acid backbone leaving a clean finish. Chill and drink anytime, but will age gracefully.
