The unique blend that is the 2005 CSV is comprised of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Shiraz and 5% Viognier. Possessing a striking crimson colour, the wine has pronounced lifted aromatics of violets, cassis, spice, pepper and black fruits. On the palate, this medium to full bodied wine is already exhibiting the complexity that comes from the combination of chewy, fleshy, ripe fruit with soft, flowing tannins. Drink it any time over the next decade

Vintage Report

The 2005 vintage was characterised by a warm autumn that led to an early harvest of above average yields. There is no doubting the impeccable quality of the 2005 vintage, surely rated second only to the iconic 2002, in which the cornerstone
varietals for Eden Valley, Riesling and Shiraz, achieved near perfect fruit ripeness.
