Ratafia Riesling is a fortified wine made from Riesling pressings. The 2004 Ratafia Riesling is a striking, vibrant, golden colour with scents of crème caramel, raisins and citrus peel. An unctuous palate of seamless, silken mouth filling fruit, trails on to a seemingly dry finish. Serve chilled and it is best enjoyed a little at a time over several sittings.
The 2004 vintage was typified by the return to average winter rainfall after the struggle of 2003’s fourth-worst drought in history. The vintage was almost as late as 2002, with quite good yields of exceptional fruit quality.
